THE ASSEMBLY WORKS
The Assembly Works cover the period from 2012 to present. Presenting mediations on photography, time and archaeologies of the everyday, the Assembly Works take form as assemblage and collage where photography, sculpture and performance intertwine.
Lovelace investigates the conditions and concerns of temporality. Pleasure is present, with anarchic energy, and these images reveal an alternative view of constructed photography while at the same time offering a strange reversal or mash up of the dynamics between artwork, physical presence and audience. His is a layered and multifaceted approach to manufacturing the ephemeral. Tim Clark, 2013
